Changing Our World With The Extravagant Love of God
If you know anything about Jesus – he gave everything he had and he never said, “No.” The people around him knew that he genuinely cared about them.
“Propheting Preston,” was born with the determination to treat our community the way Jesus would – with an extravagant love not always understood.
Pastor Derek Syruws felt called to bless the people of Preston County and show God’s unconditional love through simple acts of kindness and the distribution of useful items. All with no strings attached.
It’s not about needing a hand out – it’s about needing some hope. No government funding or programs are involved; the reason being that Propheting Preston refuses to bless people based purely on finances.
Pastor Syruws states, “God loves everyone equally. What we are doing isn’t about dramatically changing someone’s financial life; it’s about changing their outlook on life. Providing a ray of hope and a reminder that not only has God never forgot about them, he loves them just the way they are, where they are.”
Propheting Preston Outreaches occur traditionally in the summer, fall, and at Christmas.
